# TLD pages

Last updated: 2026-10-03
Version: 2.4

## Short answer

This page lists every top-level domain of the root zone with its registry status, its launch dates and its latest root zone change of the last 90 days, beside the launch phases coming next. The TLDs of the public set also carry 12-month sales figures, registrar prices, market size and a coarse quality band, and each has its own page with a 10-name sample.

## What this page is

Use this page when a visitor wants to compare TLDs on registry facts and market figures, see which new TLDs are opening, or find the page for one TLD.

## Who this is for

- investor: use this page when the goal matches the workflow described above.
- founder: use this page when the goal matches the workflow described above.
- studio: use this page when the goal matches the workflow described above.

## How to evaluate this page

### Fit

Whether a TLD suits the visitor's names, audience and budget, judged on its registry, prices and sales rather than on its label.

### Ownership

Whether one-word names are still available under the TLD, what the first year and the renewal cost, and at which registrars.

### Risk

Whether renewal prices, a thin sales record or a launch phase restricted to trademark holders would make a registration a poor decision.

## What not to assume

- The public set is a short list in a fixed order, not a ranking of TLDs, and the website orders rows on registry facts only; every scanned TLD has a page in the product.
- A quality band is a coarse reading of a TLD's own market figures (prime, strong, niche or thin), never a score, and the website never sorts by it.
- Sales figures are 12-month totals and medians, never a single sale, and a TLD page never names where sales are reported.
- TLD launch dates come from IANA and ICANN public registry data and move when a registry changes them.
- Unique Domains is not a registrar or a registry: registrar links go to the registrar, which sells the name.
