The data behind every figure
How big, how complete, how fresh.

Every number in Unique Domains comes from a source you can name and a date you can check. This page publishes both: the size of the catalog, how much of it is filled, how precise the figures are, and how fresh they were when you read them.

How big

Crawled inventory only. The figures count what the scan has actually visited, never what a zone file says exists.

How complete

A share is the count of names carrying a figure over the count of names that could carry it. Each definition is spelled out below the bar. Nothing is inferred to fill a gap.

Price quote0%

Aftermarket names with at least one registrar or marketplace quote on the last scan. Available names are excluded: their registration price is a quote by definition.

0 of 0 aftermarket names
Registry record0%

Registered names with an RDAP or WHOIS record read within the last 90 days.

0 of 0 registered names
TLD coverage0%

Names whose word has been scanned across every tracked TLD, so the available, premium and for-sale counts exist.

0 of 0 names
Valuation0%

Aftermarket names with a stored estimate for the current model version. Estimates are produced when a name is displayed, so this share grows as the catalog is worked.

0 of 0 aftermarket names

How precise

Precision is about what a figure claims to be. A verified availability is a fact with a timestamp. An estimate is a model opinion with a version. The two stay apart, everywhere.

0%of available names re-verified within 7 days

Every Registrable now reading carries its check time in the hover.

HumbleWorthprice-predict-v1 · in use since 7 Aug 2026

Every estimate comes from this model and is stored with its version and date. A new version never overwrites an estimate; it creates a new one.

USD onlyFive-year window · three sales per tier at least

Synonyms and related words are labelled similar, never same. When a tier is short, the next one is used and says so.

Estimates are estimates.

No figure on this site is an offer, an appraisal certificate, or a price anyone has paid. Wording that turns an estimate into a promise does not ship.

How fresh

Raw counts, not multipliers. A name is checked when the scan reads its registrar, registry and marketplace state again; nothing else counts as a check.

Growth

Size has a history; quality is starting one. The catalog and the scan have been measured since 2025. Completeness and freshness are recorded from the first daily snapshot and accrue from there.

Methods

One entry per figure the product shows, in the words the product uses. The hover on a table column and the entry here read from the same catalog, so a definition changes once. Every entry names its sources by category, its refresh rule and its limits.

Status

Whether a name is available to register, a premium listing, listed for sale on the aftermarket, at auction, or registered and not for sale.

Registry recordsRegistrarsDNSMarketplaces
How it is computed
Registrar availability answers are read first. A registered name is then matched against parking and marketplace detection; the listing found sets the status.
Refreshed
With each scan of the word. The scan date sits in the hover of every status.
Limits
A registrar can answer available for a name in a redemption hold; the registry record on Timing is the tie-breaker.

Fingerprint

The linguistic shape of the word: part of speech, syllable count, how easily it is said, and whether it is likely to be misspelled.

The scan and scoring
How it is computed
Part of speech and definition come from the dictionary layer, syllables and pronunciation from a phonetic model, spelling risk from homophones and the edit-distance neighbours people actually type.
Refreshed
Once per word, re-run when the linguistics model changes.
Limits
Coined words carry no definition, and pronunciation is English-first.

Timing

When a name can change hands: the expiry date, the post-expiry phase it is in, or how long it has been held.

Registry recordsThe scan and scoring
How it is computed
Read from the registry record: expiry and creation dates, EPP statuses, registrar of record. Available names show the date of the last availability check instead.
Refreshed
With each scan of the word; the date checked is in the hover.
Limits
Registries publish RDAP at different depths, and premium listings often carry no registry record at all. A name without one shows no timing rather than a guess.

Signals

Changes picked up between two scans: a price drop or rise, a status change, an expiry window opening, an auction ending.

The scan and scoring
How it is computed
Each scan is compared with the previous one. A change stays a signal until it expires, then leaves the row.
Refreshed
Every scan.
Limits
A name that is scanned rarely shows fewer signals, not fewer changes.

Verdict

One recommendation over every factor held for the name, weighted for the persona reading it.

The scan and scoring
How it is computed
Investor weights: resaleMargin 25%, liquidity 15%, wordDemand 15%, comps 15%, legalSafety 10%, tldFit 5%, renewalBurden 5%, history 5%, brandability 5%. Founder and agency presets weight brandability, versatility and legal safety higher. Missing factors are excluded and the weights renormalised; confidence falls with each exclusion.
Refreshed
Recomputed whenever an input changes.
Limits
A verdict is a ranking aid, not a valuation.

Price

The lowest known price for the name today.

RegistrarsMarketplaces
How it is computed
The lowest of the registrar quotes collected on the last scan. Nothing is inferred from parking pages or for-sale landers; a name held for sale without a public figure names its marketplace instead.
Refreshed
Quotes are re-pulled with each scan of the word.
Limits
Most premium listings carry a quote; most resell listings do not, and the row then names the marketplace rather than a figure.

Estimated value

A HumbleWorth AI estimate of what the name would sell for on the channel matching its status: auction, marketplace or brokerage.

HumbleWorth appraisal
How it is computed
Produced on demand by HumbleWorth's price-predict-v1 model when a row is displayed, then stored for that model version. Model version and date sit in the hover.
Refreshed
Once per name and model version; a new version creates a new estimate.
Limits
An estimate is an estimate. It is not an offer, an appraisal certificate, or a price anyone has paid.

Upside

How much room the estimate leaves above the price, with the similar-sales median as a third marker on the same line.

HumbleWorth appraisalRegistrarsSales archives
How it is computed
Estimate minus price, over price. When the estimate is at least ten times the price the figure prints as a multiple.
Refreshed
Follows its inputs.
Limits
Undefined without a listed price.

Similar sales

The median of completed sales of the same or a similar word, with the match tier always shown.

Sales archivesThe scan and scoring
How it is computed
Tiers in order: this exact name, all time; the same word in any TLD, all time; variants and synonyms in the same TLD, 5 years; related words in the same TLD, 5 years. A tier is used when it holds at least 3 USD sales; otherwise the market line, the median of dictionary-word sales in the TLD over 5 years. Neighbours are capped at 40 per word.
Refreshed
The archive ingests on its own schedule; medians are recomputed daily.
Limits
Synonyms and related words are labelled similar, never same. Non-USD sales are excluded rather than converted.

TLD coverage

How the same word stands across the tracked TLDs: how many are available, premium, or for sale.

The scan and scoring
How it is computed
Counted from the scan of the word across all tracked TLDs; the hover adds the median listed price.
Refreshed
With each scan of the word.
Limits
Counts cover tracked TLDs only.

Liquidity

A resale liquidity proxy for the name, 0 to 100.

The scan and scoringSales archives
How it is computed
Weights: word demand 50%, TLD coverage 30%, attractiveness 20%.
Refreshed
Recomputed whenever an input changes.
Limits
Calibrated on aftermarket signals; a name nobody has looked for scores low by construction.

Renews

What holding the name costs every year after acquisition.

Registrars
How it is computed
The renewal price of the registrar quoting the lowest price. The hover adds the five-year cost and the share of it that is renewals.
Refreshed
Registrar price lists are pulled with the scan.
Limits
Premium renewals set by registries are shown when the registrar publishes them.

Sources by category

Every hover in the product and every entry on this page names its sources with these categories. A category tells you what kind of evidence a figure rests on, which is what matters when you weigh it. One vendor is named: appraisals are HumbleWorth.

Rules for this page

  • Aggregates only, from the crawled inventory. Never a row, a score or the ranking formula.
  • Every count carries the date it was taken.
  • Measured figures only. No multipliers, no wording that turns an estimate into a promise.
  • Charts are drawn from the returned series. The page never computes a statistic itself.

Questions about the data

Short answers. The methods above carry the detail.

Where do the figures on this page come from?

From a daily snapshot written by the Unique Domains pipeline: the crawled inventory, registry records, registrar quotes, the sales archive and the scores. Nothing is estimated by hand, and every count carries the date it was taken.

Is an estimate a price?

No. It is produced by a model trained on completed sales. It is not an offer, not a formal appraisal, and no name is guaranteed to sell for it.

Why are some completeness shares low?

Because this page publishes what is measured, not what is inferred. A name has a valuation only once someone has displayed it, and most resell listings carry no public quote. The shares move as the catalog is worked, and this page shows the movement.

What happened to the data-points figure?

It was a multiplier: domains times a fixed number of fields. This page publishes measured counts only, so it was retired in favour of the raw number of names checked in the last 24 hours.

Can I read this in a machine-readable form?

Yes. The page has a Markdown mirror at /product/data.md, JSON-LD with one defined term per metric, and is listed in the site llms.txt so assistants can quote it with its dates.
