Your questions, answered.

How the connector works, what your plan covers, and where the data comes from.

What is an MCP server and how does it work with Claude?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets Claude talk to external tools and data sources directly. The Unique Domains MCP server exposes our domain database, Radars, Watchlists, and Portfolio as tools Claude can call inside any conversation. You paste one URL into Claude connector settings and Claude handles the rest.

Read the MCP context for AI assistants
Do I need an account to try it?

Yes. The connector authenticates over OAuth, and a request without a signed-in account is refused. The connector is included on Pro and Agency.

Which Claude versions support this?

Any Claude client that speaks MCP, including Claude.ai web, the Claude desktop app, and Claude Code. If your client supports custom connectors, this MCP works.

Where does the domain data come from?

We aggregate registry, registrar, marketplace, DNS, Whois, and SEO sources, then run valuation, scoring, and enrichment models on top. Data refreshes continuously and every domain is rescanned on a rolling cadence.

How are usage limits enforced?

Authenticated metered tool calls run against a rolling daily limit tied to your plan. When you hit the limit, Claude hands you a secure web link to upgrade. Status, verdict, upgrade, and link tools are always free, even when you are over.

Can I export my searches?

Yes. Any completed search exports as CSV or JSON. The connector runs on a signed-in account, so the search is saved to your workspace before it exports.

Is my Portfolio data private?

Yes. Portfolio, Watchlists, and Radars are OAuth-scoped to your account, and there is no unauthenticated connector session that could reach them. We use OAuth bearer tokens only. Body-token auth is rejected by the server.

How is Unique Domains different from a domain marketplace?

Marketplaces show their own inventory. Unique Domains aggregates across the market, including aftermarket, drop-catch, and dormant zones, and adds structured signals such as Whois, SEO, and valuation so Claude can rank intelligently.
